Job Overview

The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a skilled School Based Crisis Response Case Manager to join our team in East Tennessee. As a critical member of our crisis response team, you will provide trauma-informed consultation, education, training, crisis support, screening, assessment, and referral/linkage services to children ages 4-21 with mental health diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain ongoing communication with assigned schools to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of services.
  • Complete case management for students identified by schools, providing advocacy, linkage, and referral services as needed.
  • Participate in IEP and other school-related meetings to facilitate collaboration and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to schools and those served on topics such as trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field with coursework or experience in cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, and intellectual disabilities.
  • One year of experience preferred, with experience working with children and families highly desirable.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure, communicate effectively, and possess good time management and organizational skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required, with ability to implement verbal de-escalation methods and personal/client safety techniques.
