SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is responsible for reconciling Passthrough Programs and aiding in month-end procedures, year-end audits, and the daily oversight of joint venture accounting activities.

JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE

  • Reconciles Passthrough programs, identifies vendor payments, and addresses disputes through the Retailer's portal.
  • Manages and organizes the Master Distribution Agreement for passthrough vendors.
  • Engages in the month-end closing process.
  • Regularly maintains comprehensive reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Conducts general account analyses and reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Compiles the daily Flash Report.
  • Aids in year-end audit processes, including the preparation of audit schedules and the organization and review of supporting documentation.
  • Assists with both external and internal financial reporting, encompassing income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports.
  • Supports the controller in managing Joint Venture daily and monthly accounting activities.
  • Aids the FPAM in the annual budget preparation.
  • Provides support to the CFO and Controller with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Contributes to team success by achieving related results as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Capable of interpreting technical forms and financial reports.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
