Quality Assurance Technician

At Novolex, we are committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily inspections to support production operations and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards.
  • Conduct routine checks on packaging, packaging specifications, scale counts, leak tests, densities, and Let Down Ratio's, stemware/base fit, tray/lid fits, measuring trays, Print Room checks, Reflections Room checks, Repack Areas, compression testing, salt and sugar testing.
  • Obtain full shot samples and statistical data from machinery and document all findings in the Event Report.
  • Enter all densities for MPs, Reflections, Trays, etc. into the appropriate computer program and check and record weights of product in production and enter into the system.
  • Document all Lid Fits, Scale Checks and Leakers into the Event Report and write up QC Hold Tags and Root Cause Analysis Form as needed.
  • Generate, log, and distribute Defect and Adjustment Reports (DARs) as needed after approval from the appropriate personnel has been obtained.
  • Effectively communicate with management regarding quality issues and document and disposition quality issues to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Record data in various files and view control charts and communicate information to molders.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the food packaging industry and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or adjusted work schedules from time to time, as required.
  • Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
