Key Responsibilities
  • Support Individuals with Daily Living Tasks: Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living tasks to promote independence and well-being.
  • Encourage Socialization and Community Involvement: Support individuals in participating in community activities, social events, and hobbies to foster social connections and a sense of belonging.
  • Develop and Implement Personalized Support Plans: Collaborate with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans that promote growth, learning, and independence.
  • Provide Emotional Support and Empathy: Offer emotional support, empathy, and understanding to individuals, families, and caregivers to promote a sense of calm and well-being.
  • Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for individuals by following established protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Vehicle and Transportation: Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required for day and evening shifts.
