Direct Support Provider Job Description

Prairie Community Services (PCS) - Northwood is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Provider to join our team. As a Direct Support Provider, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide training and assistance with daily personal cares, medication administration, and community activities.
  • Instruct and assist with food preparation, clean-up, and sanitary practices.
  • Encourage grooming and dress according to individual preferences, cultural considerations, and social norms.
  • Administer medications and treatments as trained.
  • Communicate concerns, suggestions, and potential problems to supervisors in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Chart daily program information and complete cleaning tasks.

Requirements:
  • Must be 17 years of age or as dictated by licensure.
  • Must pass DHS background clearance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
