Job Description

Entergy is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of assigned projects by developing and maintaining project reporting, performing project assurance, and delivering cost and schedule certainty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, plans, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Identify, analyze, and document project schedule and cost variances between planned and earned/actual progress
  • Support the Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management standards to ensure standardization and continuous improvement in project delivery
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to identify, characterize, and document project risks in a risk register and develop mitigation plans
  • Facilitate and manage the Change Management process and document approved project changes
  • Implement best practices of project management and controls principles on projects of varying segmentations and types of contracts
  • Create project portfolio performance metrics and reports performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
  • 4 years equivalent/related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in project development and project controls, with a focus on utility capital projects
  • Proficiency in schedule software such as Primavera 6, Microsoft Project, Acumen Fuse, and Risk Analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
