About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in analyzing and managing the financial aspects of our aerospace manufacturing and engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs and drivers of margin impacts.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing month to month, quarter to quarter, and year over year analysis for product lines.
  • Analyze project costs, estimates, and budgets.
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors, affecting prices, and profitability of products or services.
  • Assist in accounting closing and preparation of financial statements each month.
  • Assist in audits, including but not limited to DCMA, customer proposal pre and post awards, and annual financial audit.
  • Assist in preparing billings for cost-type contracts.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets schedules.
  • Review daily transactions, including part maintenance, kitting transactions, production receipts, etc.
