Position Details:

Type: Full-time

Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for supporting large Data Centers in the vicinity, focusing on 3 Phase/480 Volt battery backup systems. Your role will include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to emergency service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct service support tasks, troubleshoot, and repair both single and three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and related equipment for clients.
  • Coordinate technical sales or service support for clients, including urgent service requests.
  • Deliver on-site customer service for power quality products, encompassing start-up services, preventive maintenance, and modifications.
  • Provide technical assistance to both internal and external clients, including third-party service providers and end-users.
  • Inspect, test, and document malfunctioning products and systems prior to their return to the manufacturer for evaluation.
  • Schedule and offer emergency technical support and field services on an on-call basis.
  • Identify, assess, and rectify routine product failures.
  • Escalate non-routine product failures to the Supervisor as necessary.
  • Advise clients on service product options based on their preferences and the long-term upkeep of their investments.
  • Troubleshoot UPS system malfunctions to a board level with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation of services rendered.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive documentation on the analysis of issues related to the repair or inspection of UPS and energy storage systems.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation assistance.

Travel: No travel is required for this role.

Local Candidates Preferred: Yes

Note: Candidates must be eligible to work on a W2 basis (No C2C).
