About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations at our fixed site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Engagement: Develop strong relationships with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand the impact of their donation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for donors, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain attention to detail to ensure that collected blood meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a public setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare Experience: Prior experience in healthcare or phlebotomy (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Leadership Experience: Prior leadership experience.
