Position Overview:

Join our esteemed team at Penn State College of Medicine as a Clinical Respiratory Therapy Trainee. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, providing a unique opportunity to enhance your clinical skills in patient assessment, management, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine patient care skills through hands-on experience.
  • Engage in critical thinking exercises to prepare for future responsibilities as a staff therapist.
  • Participate in patient assessments and management under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Completion of at least one year of the program.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Successful completion of a Preceptor Entrance Exam with a score of 74% or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
