POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary aim of this role is to provide students currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with the opportunity to enhance their patient evaluation, management, and analytical skills while pursuing their education. This position is designed to facilitate a seamless transition from student to professional therapist by offering avenues to refine patient care and communication capabilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- Enrollment in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC).
- Completion of at least one year (or equivalent) of the program.
- A minimum score of 74% on a Preceptor Entrance Exam administered by the accredited program.
- Availability for 8-24 hours per week during the Preceptor Program, with potential for additional hours upon approval.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in customer service is advantageous.
