GENERAL SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for evaluating and treating both non-surgical and surgical patients under the guidance and supervision of a physician, while ensuring outstanding patient care and service.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with physicians to deliver exceptional patient care during consultations.
Conduct patient assessments and evaluations.
Order diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and EMG tests.
Formulate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
Advise patients on diagnoses, preventive measures, and treatment strategies.
Perform various procedures, including injections into muscles, tendons, and joints.
Prescribe medications, orthotic devices, physical therapy, and other relevant treatments.
Document notes for each patient interaction.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS


Must be a graduate of an AMA-accredited program with relevant Physician Assistant experience in clinical settings such as orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, or rehabilitation, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Experience in Orthopedics and Spine is preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

Must hold certification from the National Commission of Physician Assistants and licensure from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support is also required.
