Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Leiszler Oil. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, supervising employees, and managing inventories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Assist the store manager in overseeing daily store operations, including supervising employees, managing inventories, and maintaining a safe and secure store environment.
  • Employee Development: Train, develop, and motivate employees to achieve their full potential and provide excellent customer service.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills and promote a teamwork environment, setting high standards and modeling outstanding behavior.
  • Product Management: Implement new product lines and create strategies to introduce and promote them to our guests.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that each department has adequate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies, and presentations, and that the selling floor is adequately stocked.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-throughs, and audits.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift, bend, climb, and move merchandise throughout the store, generally weighing 0-50 pounds.
  • Computer and Communication Skills: Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems and POS register systems, and to communicate with associates and guests.
  • Reading and Writing Skills: Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
  • Varied Hours: Ability to work varied hours and days to oversee store operations.
