About the Role

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Development Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to develop strategies that drive growth, strategy, and capacity goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams to advance project opportunities and implement timelines.
  • Lead project management and liaison for client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction with our work.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of clients' existing conditions and needs, and develop solutions through direct client interaction.
  • Research, document writing, and communication in written and presentation format.
  • Develop project deliverables, memos, presentations, and final reports for delivery to the client.
  • Act as a valued business advisor, build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
  • Perform project management duties, including overseeing work plan execution, providing periodic internal and client-facing status reports, generating invoices, and managing the project budget.
  • Lead professional and effective presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Continue to develop knowledge and experience working with various technology environments, platforms, applications, and tools/utilities.
  • Attend professional development, networking events, and training seminars.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue.
  • Invest in professional development individually and through participation in firmwide learning and development programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, urban planning, finance, or public administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with relevant work experience and specific knowledge in areas of focus (economic development, housing, real estate, and/or redevelopment).
  • Knowledge, skills, and passion for the principles and practice connected to housing, development, social impact, and equity, redevelopment, economic development, and community development.
  • Experience as a client-serving professional for a consulting firm desired.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well independently in a fast-paced environment, and be highly self-motivated.
  • Motivation to work extended hours and travel as needed to meet the needs of clients and growth of the national practice.
