Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor to join our team at Magellan Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert financial guidance and support to military service members and their families at Dover AFB, DE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive personal financial counseling services, including one-on-one consultations, group briefings, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement financial education programs to promote financial stability and security among military personnel and their families.
  • Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with installation needs.
  • Provide referrals to external resources and services as needed.
  • Manage duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocol.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and quality improvement activities to enhance professional development and program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in financial counseling or a related field.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • May be required to work outside of traditional office hours to support business needs.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
