Job Overview

Position Summary
As a Senior Logistics Coordinator at iDC Logistics, Inc., you will play a crucial role in strategizing and executing the planning, research, and coordination necessary for the secure, efficient, and timely movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute supply chain enhancement initiatives (e.g., drayage, planning, and routing)
  • Supervise yard inventory management practices
  • Align shipping timelines with vendors and/or transportation brokers
  • Establish requirements and standards (e.g., packaging, procurement, delivery)
  • Identify the most economical shipping methods and schedules
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and team members
  • Organize and oversee transportation operations
  • Manage information from the point of origin to final delivery
  • Coordinate transportation logistics and arrange necessary services
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipment processes
  • Research and liaise with new or existing carriers
  • Monitor and trace domestic freight shipments via air and ground
  • Generate and update reports as required across various applications
  • Review training materials for tracking systems with internal stakeholders as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word, with the ability to create and maintain detailed spreadsheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and support team objectives
  • Flexibility to accept additional responsibilities while maintaining professionalism
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required
