Our mission is to deliver a diverse range of nutritious and appealing food choices to our campus community, including students, faculty, and staff. We invite you to join us as a Catering Operations Assistant.

In this role, under the guidance of the Catering Services Operations Assistant or an Event Supervisor, you will provide essential support for catered events both on and off campus.

Your responsibilities will include adhering to service specifications, assisting with food preparation, bartending, and following established setup and sanitation protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

*High school diploma or GED is required.
*Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, and pull.
*Capacity to lift equipment and food supplies weighing up to 40 pounds regularly.
*Ability to stand or walk for up to 4 hours continuously.
*Dexterity to use small tools effectively and possess hand/finger/eye coordination.
*Willingness to work in environments with wet floors, temperature variations, and elevated noise levels.
*Ability to maintain a fast-paced work tempo.
*Skill in visually distinguishing colors for food safety purposes.
*Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
*Attentive listening skills for interactions with customers, supervisors, and colleagues.
*Availability to work evenings and weekends.
*Flexibility to adjust schedule for food service events.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not all candidates may meet every preferred qualification, the ideal applicant will possess many of the following attributes:

*ServSafe certification.
*Experience in fine dining or catering environments.
*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record as per University standards.
*Ability to operate catering transport vehicles.
*Proven experience in customer service.
*Experience working with a diverse student body and multicultural staff.
