About the Role:

As a key member of our team at Sturgeon Electric Company, the Electrical Project Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the construction management functions related to electrical construction projects. This position will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of plans, specifications, and interfaces with senior project management professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, electrical operations, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the review of plans and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Prepare a checklist of contract features that require periodic attention to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling to ensure accurate timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate records, including project documentation and communication with stakeholders.
  • Promote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Inspect equipment, material, workmanship, and finished construction to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Check progress of work in the field to ensure timely completion and identify potential issues.
  • Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform to required specifications.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, electrical operations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher level.
