Job Information

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Whole Foods Market.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing electrical, electrical controls, and instrumentation duties, as well as some mechanical tasks such as setup, adjustment, calibration, tuning, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical craft work, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment with some minor mechanical tasks. Additionally, they will be proficient in the use of test instruments, such as volt/ohm multi-meters, clamp-on amp meters, meggers, transducers, and oscilloscopes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, electrical controls, and instrumentation duties, including setup, adjustment, calibration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by following OSHA, EPA, FDA, Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out safety rules, codes, policies, and regulations, as well as Confined Space Entry policies.
  • Work as a self-motivated individual with minimal supervision, while communicating through team huddles, eMaint CMMS, and project meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC programs, and processor-based program/diagnostic panels.
  • Perform repairs and replacement of electrical and instrumentation equipment, as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CCST Level II or equivalent desired.
  • Industrial Journeyman level and/or on-the-job experience with heavy industrial electrical, electrical controls, instrumentation, and PLCs.
  • Must be proficient in the use of test instruments, such as volt/ohm multi-meters, clamp-on amp meters, meggers, transducers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and PLC ladder logic.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
