Position Overview: We are in search of a seasoned software engineer specializing in machine learning to develop effective, data-centric artificial intelligence systems. These systems will enable our clients to maximize their use of the Awardco platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong statistical and programming skills, along with the capability to analyze and manage extensive datasets confidently. You will collaborate with diverse teams to integrate these machine learning models into both internal and client-facing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to develop data-rich products, utilizing machine learning models and sharing insights derived from data and experiments. You will contribute to foundational patterns as we enhance our efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning into our offerings.
- Design backend systems that seamlessly interface with machine learning components and establish contracts with the frontend.
- Gather and curate datasets necessary for constructing machine learning models that facilitate real-time decision-making for the Awardco platform.
- Deploy machine learning models into live environments and integrate them into the overall product.
- Train, retrain, and monitor machine learning systems and models as required.
- Develop optimized data pipelines to support machine learning models.
- Work alongside other engineers and data scientists to create optimal user experiences on the platform.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field is required.
- Experience in developing machine learning models for consumer-oriented products.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering.
- Demonstrated engineering capabilities, with a track record of writing and maintaining high-quality production code.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript, Java).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a cross-functional product team on multiple concurrent projects.
