Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (Certified) role at University Hospital is a vital part of our healthcare team. As a member of our designated care team, you will collaborate with colleagues to achieve our goals and provide safe, quality patient-focused care under the direction of a Professional Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care congruent with the patient's developmental stage and cultural expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve goals and provide quality care.
- Participate in patient care activities, including phlebotomy and EKG.
Requirements
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to lift/move patients with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize the activities of multiple patients.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- CPR/BLS Certified.
