Job Title: Process Improvement Engineer

At American Woodmark, we are committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing process improvements to increase yield, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime. This will involve working closely with the production team to understand the current processes and identifying areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven track record of implementing process improvements. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and execute process improvements to increase yield, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime
  • Work closely with the production team to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement process control systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve complex production problems
  • Develop and lead product capability and development testing

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering or related discipline
  • Clear electrical training or experience
  • Demonstrated work experience in manufacturing or operations
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma
  • Track record of successful project management
