Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service in Rockville, MD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical and nursing care to our patients, working closely with our board-certified neurologists to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications as needed
- Take vital signs and observe, document, and recognize changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition
- Provide high-quality medical and nursing care, working well independently and as part of a team
- Adapt to the individual needs of each patient, ask questions, and enhance your skill set
- Utilize EzyVet and SmartFlow experience to streamline patient care and improve efficiency
- Current and active Veterinary Technician License in Maryland or eligibility for licensure in another state
- At least two years of Veterinary experience as an RVT or one year as a Veterinary Assistant
- Extensive experience with anesthesia, venipuncture, and catheters
- Excellent communication, patient care, and customer service skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Bush Veterinary Neurology has four locations across two states, providing same-day life-saving neurosurgery and long-term medical management. Our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including cerebrospinal fluid collection/analysis, computed tomography, electroencephalography, MRI, and more. Our neurologists perform both spinal and brain surgeries, and our veterinary technicians play a vital role in patient care, diagnostic imaging, and assisting doctors in surgery.
