Job Summary

Credit Union West is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President of Financial Operations to join our executive management team. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the financial statements, accounting, finance, and operations functions of the Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Management: Develop and prepare daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statement reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and government regulations.
  • Financial Strategy and Efficiency: Collaborate with the Executive Management team to determine long- and short-term vision for the corporate financials, accounting, finance, and operations areas, identifying and implementing departmental and global efficiencies leveraging technology.
  • Operational Oversight: Effectively oversee the operational functions, including payment processing, dispute resolution, and back-office functions, ensuring high service levels to members.
  • Communication and Coordination: Build collaborative relationships with the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Executive Management team, and direct reports, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of senior management experience and a minimum of five years' financial institution experience.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting, with experience in financial industry accounting and financial practices, including regulatory reporting, Call Report, and Interest Rate Risk (IRR).
