We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our team at S&ME, Inc. in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials used in various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze plans and specifications to identify potential construction material issues
- Conduct field observations and testing of construction materials to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document and report test results and observations to management and clients
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction material-related issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in construction testing and inspections, or 1 year of related experience plus vocational training
- Effective communication and math skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry 40-50 pounds, and work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for work
