Job Title: Controller

Jobot is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Controller. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, managing grants, and providing financial guidance to other departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, financial statements, and journal entries.
  • Manage the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with these policies.
  • Manage accrued revenue, expenditures, and depreciation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Allocate expenses and manage patient revenue entries.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with various senior stakeholders and other team members to ensure alignment and achievement of business goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Proficiency in Abila MIP or equivalent financial management software.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, journal entries, accrued revenue, expenditures, grants, depreciation, and expense allocation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive financial planning.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
  • High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
