Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant with the State of Rhode Island, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and treatment to patients. This position requires a working knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid, housekeeping, and infection control. You will work under the supervision of a superior and be responsible for performing a variety of routine hospital tasks involved in the care and custody of patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and treatment to patients, including personal care, bathing, and feeding

Assist nurses with minor treatments, such as bandaging and administering enemas

Maintain patient records and report any unusual occurrences or irregularities to a superior

Collaborate with professional staff to contribute to treatment planning and quality assurance activities

Requirements:

Valid RI Certified Nursing Assistant license

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Training or employment involving routine hospital or clinical patient care procedures

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment and may involve lifting and transferring patients. You must be able to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control and disease prevention measures.
