**Job Summary**

The Biltmore Company is seeking a highly skilled Banquet Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of banquets and catering functions for our guests.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Event Planning**: Collaborate with sales staff, kitchen, and support departments to ensure seamless event execution.

2. **Team Leadership**: Proactively anticipate guest and department needs, providing exceptional service and support.

3. **Supply Management**: Order, inventory, and maintain supplies for the department, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

4. **Revenue and Expense Management**: Review event revenues and expenses for accuracy, identifying areas for improvement.

5. **Procedure Development**: Create and enforce procedures to ensure guest satisfaction and directives for the restaurant and department.

6. **Communication**: Attend weekly BEO meetings and other events-related meetings, ensuring department representation.

7. **Guest Service**: Maintain direct contact with event hosts, ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.

**Requirements:**

1. **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.

2. **Experience**: A minimum of two years of related food and beverage supervisory/management experience in a comparable upscale banquet/event, catering, and/or luxury hotel/resort.

3. **Leadership Skills**: Demonstrated leadership skills and/or previous supervisory experience required.

4. **Age**: Minimum 21 years of age to bartend as needed.

5. **Communication Skills**: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

6. **Cost Control**: Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.

7. **Initiative**: Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and exercise good judgment.

8. **Organization**: Strong organizational and planning skills with an excellent attention to detail.

9. **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

10. **Guest Service**: Proven commitment to delivering world-class guest service, internally and externally, and ability to motivate staff to do the same.

11. **Professional Appearance**: Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, handling a variety of guest service situations in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

12. **Corporate Setting**: Comfortable working in a corporate setting.

13. **Driver's License**: Must have a valid driver's license.

**Physical Requirements:**

1. Ability to switch between office and hands-on supervisor roles with ease.

2. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds occasionally, and standing/walking for extended periods.

3. Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

4. Climbing stairs/ladders as needed.
