About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Apex Therapeutic Services. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in providing school-based speech therapy services to students in NYC Public, D75, and Charter schools.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' communication disorders, including language, articulation, fluency, voice/resonance, and swallowing issues.
  • Individualized Planning: Develop personalized plans addressing students' personal, social/emotional, academic, and vocational needs.
  • Literacy Support: Contribute to the literacy achievement of students with communication disorders, including those at risk for school failure or struggling in the school setting.
  • Alternative Learning Methods: Support students with significant challenges by determining and implementing alternative learning methods.
  • Goal Setting: Identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes.
  • Instructional Activities: Plan and implement relevant instructional activities in the classroom.
Requirements
  • Must be a registered/licensed or pursuing a license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State.
  • Must have TSSLD certification.
