About the Role

Holland America Line is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Compensation Manager to lead the design, planning, and implementation of compensation programs, policies, and procedures for shipboard employees. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company's strategies and objectives, ensuring that compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop compensation plans, programs, and policies that are competitive with the market and aligned with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to understand business needs and design incentive plans that reward appropriate behaviors and performance factors.
  • Establish pay ranges and compensation structures based on market research and business performance.
  • Work with the ABG compensation team to support equity grants and other fleet compensation projects.
  • Be the expert on compensation structures and policies for two cruise lines.
  • Ensure data accuracy and approve regular auditing results.
  • Improve processes and information systems from a compensation perspective.
  • Prepare communication and training materials to help internal customers understand compensation solutions and programs.
  • Draft policy documents based on business needs and review with the Director.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and codes.
Requirements
  • Degree in Finance, Human Resources Management, or Business Administration.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is strongly preferred. Master's degree a plus.
  • 5 years' experience in compensation specialized role with increasing level of responsibility.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in leadership and management of a team.
  • Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or other leisure travel industry a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of compensation administration and project management.
  • Ability to manage analysis of data and information collection methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to present to business leaders at Director level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Global compensation knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with HR information systems.
