Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to join our Satellite Payload Engineering team at SpaceX. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for simulating and modeling the terrestrial and orbital communication systems for Starlink.

About the Role

You will work closely with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software domains. Your expertise in MATLAB, Python, C++, or other tools for modeling and analyzing RF systems will be essential in assessing feasibility of various designs in support of architecture definition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Simulate and model communication systems
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
  • Derive top-level specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
  • Characterize and analyze system performance

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $125,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
