Financial Controller for Reconciliation and Reporting

Job Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in our Accounting team, working closely with the Accounting Manager, Americas to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This position involves reconciliations, transactional finance, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany postings, and reporting schedules.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end closing process and guarantee that reporting deadlines are adhered to.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and communicate proper resolutions.
- Record expense line items and maintain supporting schedules that tie back to journals recorded.
- Complete various controls processes in a SOX compliant environment required as a public company.
- Record other GL entries on a weekly basis to process transactions of the business.
- Assist the Accounting Manager, Americas with supporting schedules for required monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Help identify and implement financial process improvements.
- Support the Accounting Manager, Americas in gathering support for audit activities.
- Other ad hoc roles and projects as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. 3+ years' experience in managerial accounting and financial management in a hospitality, retail, or CPG industry is highly preferred.
- Public accounting experience is preferred.
- Technical skills: Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of US GAAP reporting and other requirements of regulations and statutes such as Sarbanes-Oxley. CPA or parts passed, preferred.
- Software skills: Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management, and reporting. Familiarity with accounting ERP systems.
- Candidate must be a proactive, self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Compensation Package:
The salary range for this role if filled within New York is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Pay Range: $80,000—$100,000 USD
