Job Title: FSRI - Direct Care Staff - Full-Time - LGBTQ+ Youth Living Program

FSRI is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff to join our team in the LGBTQ+ Youth Living Program. As a Direct Care Staff, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and supervision to 5 youth aged 16-21 who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and supervision to youth in the program
  • Assist each resident in making decisions about daily life, conduct, and discipline within agency policy and contractual agreements
  • Develop and facilitate daily groups and activities for youth in the program
  • Implement and maintain Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting

Requirements:

  • Empathetic and good listener
  • Enjoy working with youth and see hope for the future
  • Willing and capable to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as scheduled
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, registration, inspection, and driving record
  • Bilingual skills compensated by an additional 6% above base pay

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to and from community locations and residential site locations
  • Ability to utilize a computer and Electronic Medical Record to complete documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to push or pull 10lbs or more
  • Ability to pick up 10lbs or more
  • Ability to be trained in and implement de-escalation techniques utilizing Handle with Care when necessary
