Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Marketing/Proposal Specialist will work closely with senior leadership to support sales and marketing initiatives, including:
- Proposal and Presentation Development: Collaborate with pursuit teams in sectors such as water, wastewater, and infrastructure to enhance our positioning and deliver proposals that resonate with clients. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of pursuits: strategy formulation, messaging, formatting, proofreading, graphic coordination, editing, compliance, brand adherence, and timely production. Lead interview preparation and coaching for technical staff as necessary.
- Client Engagement: Provide essential business development support to facilitate client interactions by Client Service Managers (CSM). This includes assembling information packages, connecting CSMs with clients, organizing client workshops and events, and maintaining marketing files. Collaborate with CSMs to understand and address client needs, meetings, and events.
- Business Development Support: Contribute to enhancing company marketing processes to improve efficiency and overall sales effectiveness. Assist in planning regional conferences to maximize visibility and investment.
- Marketing Information Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of organized, up-to-date qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes that showcase firm strengths and client benefits. Ensure timely entry of accurate opportunity information in the company tracking system.
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Marketing is preferred, along with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Experience in engineering, environmental, architectural, or construction fields is advantageous.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on persuasive writing and presentation capabilities. Experience in coaching others for interviews and presentations is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently as well as collaboratively in team settings, often under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in identifying key issues and patterns from incomplete or conflicting data.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with InDesign is highly preferred.
The anticipated starting salary for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location and may differ depending on skills, experience, and education.
