About the Role

Fawkes IDM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Applications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Ownership: Own and manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications, including Compulaw, Docusign, IntApp Conflicts/Intake/Terms, Litera Desktop Suite, Research Monitor, ViDesktop, and Workday, across various business units.
  • iManage Expertise: Specialize in iManage user experience, including features, configurations, usability, improvements, and understanding user needs.
  • Litera Desktop Specialist: Specialize in Litera Desktop Check, Compare, Content Companion, Contract Companion, Create, DocXtools, Forte, and Metadact.
  • Practice Innovation: Work on application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and roadmaps for Practice Innovation related systems that enhance lawyer productivity.
  • Technical Support: Provide direct oversight and management of various solutions as assigned, and act as a subject matter expert for those systems, providing technical support as needed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor, track, and report on performance and capacity, responsible for capacity planning.
  • Business Engagement: Engage with the business as needed in supporting the above, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications.
  • IT Collaboration: Work with relevant IT teams in developing and delivering enhancements and new capabilities, driving and managing those efforts.
  • Project Management: Partner and collaborate with the Practice Innovation & Legal Solutions team on various projects.
  • Recommendations: Deliver recommendations to the business and IT leadership based on an understanding of the platform, roadmap, and related business drivers.
  • Documentation: Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation for use by both engineering teams and support staff.
  • Change Management: Adhere to and participate in the Firm's Change Management process.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reporting to both the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications and Director of Applications.
  • Training and Coaching: Collaborate in the creation and use of training and QA materials and activities for applications supported, and provide coaching to junior analysts on trouble shooting and best practices.
  • Vendor Management: Work with product vendors and procurement.
  • Communication: Possess strong communication, organization, negotiation, critical thinking, and leadership skills, as well as exceptional customer service and collaboration abilities.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with QA on test scripts, procedures, and remediation.
  • Availability: Work overtime and after-hours as required, and participate in on-call rotation for after-hours break/fix support.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 7+ years' of information technology experience (required), 5+ years' experience working with and supporting enterprise platforms (required), and 3+ years' of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of multi-tier architecture, including servers, databases, proxies, load balancing, trust/access rights, certificates, and integrations; advanced knowledge of Windows Server, including IIS, services, scheduled tasks, logging, and configurations; intermediate knowledge of system integrations, including APIs, web services, FTP, and database to database; basic ability to manage monitoring, backups, HA, BC, DR, patching, and admin tools; basic ability to work with desktop and mobile applications for their installation and configurations; basic ability to work with SQL Server, SQL development/queries, and reporting tools; and basic ability to work with project management on plans, tasks, and resource management and tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
