Job Overview

Strategic Innovation Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Enterprise Architect. The successful candidate will engage in projects that involve the design and definition of business, organizational, and information technology (IT) architectures, ensuring seamless integration across various domains, platforms, operating systems, and applications within the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess the capability to operate at conceptual, logical, and physical levels of Enterprise Architecture. Familiarity with the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF) and System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) processes is strongly preferred.

Compensation: $130,000 to $165,000+

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to implement Enterprise Architecture practices that align with strategic objectives.
  • Utilize frameworks such as FEAF and DODAF to describe essential tasks, operational elements, and resource flows necessary for enterprise operations.
  • Demonstrate expertise as an enterprise architect by effectively conceptualizing, designing, and refining operational views and visualizations of enterprise processes.
  • Develop and document enterprise EA standards, procedures, and criteria tailored for lifecycle documentation and activities.
  • Create and visualize use cases, operational views, taxonomies, and other architecture artifacts to illustrate inter-relationships and dependencies across the organization.
  • Analyze current enterprise business process architectures and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements and mission execution outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of business cases, documentation of challenges, desired outcomes, and success metrics.
  • Lead and participate in workshops to assess architectural and business needs, producing documentation of architectural considerations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in AI/ML, RPA, Cybersecurity, and other domains to prepare executive-level briefings.
  • Review critical documents such as Mission Needs Statements and provide expert feedback to ensure alignment with operational and financial goals.
  • Create standard operating procedures, playbooks, and checklists for program health reviews and assessments.
  • Assess the alignment of proposed solutions and emerging technologies with the strategic plan, providing executive summaries of these assessments.
  • Maintain knowledge of common hardware and software, cloud computing, computer security, DevOps, Agile methodologies, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to address security concerns related to emerging technologies and special domains.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience, including at least two years supporting Federal or DoD clients.
  • Two years of technical writing experience related to system design or enterprise architecture for diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Strong understanding of FEAF and similar frameworks, both as a methodologist and practitioner.
  • Preferred knowledge of the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF) and System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a current federal clearance (Public Trust or above) or an active clearance from a Federal Agency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current DHS badge is highly desired.
