Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Synchrony Health Services. As a Traveling Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including campus locations, home health, and outpatient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions as directed by the occupational therapist, ensuring a high level of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Travel to other locations, including overnight stays, to provide services to patients in need.
  • Evaluate patient response to treatment and provide feedback to the occupational therapist and other team members.
  • Document patient progress and continuing needs for treatment, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Collaborate with the occupational therapist to develop new methods of delivering education to patients and families.
  • Assist the occupational therapist in providing in-service training to team members on occupational therapy knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective care, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.
  • Report any complaints or grievances made by patients to the Rehab Program Director or Director of Health Services.
  • Report incidents or suspected incidents of patient abuse to the Rehab Program Director/Director of Health Services and/or the Executive Director immediately.
  • Comply with all patient rights per the company's Resident Rights Policy.
  • Maintain professional and technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
  • Participate in survey preparation activities.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies or related field.
  • 0-1 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, stretch, stoop, walk, and move intermittently during working hours. Additionally, the candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, patients, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates.
