Position Overview:

The Family Medicine with Obstetrics Physician position at Allina Health Clinic offers a unique opportunity to engage in a collaborative team environment that prioritizes exceptional patient care. Key Position Highlights:

Our Primary Care providers collaborate closely with our Mental Health service line and the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing to deliver comprehensive care in a clinic setting.

The Cottage Grove clinic is seeking a Family Medicine with OB Physician to become part of a dedicated team of 30 professionals, including specialties such as Sports Medicine, Eye Care, Medical Imaging, OB/GYN, Travel Medicine, and Mental Health Services, while having access to a full range of specialty care throughout the Allina Health system.

  • 36 patient contact hours per week, with flexibility for lower FTE options
  • Outpatient practice catering to patients of all ages, including families
  • Clinic hours: Monday-Thursday: 8am-7pm, Friday: 8am-5pm, closed Saturday-Sunday, with one evening required
  • Utilization of Excellian, one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients to enhance their health and overall well-being.
  • Practice with a thoughtful approach, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
  • Engage actively in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • Employ quality improvement tools to create processes that foster continuous enhancement in patient care delivery, outcomes, and workflows.
  • Participate in peer review and quality assurance initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training required
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA required
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Meet criteria for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 180 days
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Multisource required based on business unit upon hire
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required based on business unit upon hire
