Job Summary:
As a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in Integrative Medicine, you will provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team. You will work within a Specialty Care team, in both inpatient and outpatient situations, and can perform independently or as part of the treatment team, ensuring continuity of patient care in all settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical care for patients, including comprehensive patient assessments, determining diagnosis and treatment, ordering and interpreting medical diagnostics, prescribing medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment, conducting patient education, referring for specialty care, and consulting with physicians when necessary.
- Participates in health care teams, promoting communication, acting as a resource, collaborating with hospital staff, working with primary care teams for program development, participating in research activities, and acting as a liaison with outside agencies.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Integrative Medicine or Functional Medicine.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing Integrative Medicine or Functional Medicine consultations.
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) required Certification within specialty upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire.
Physical Demands:
Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.
