Role Summary:

The Associate Program Manager plays a vital role in the daily management, programming, and operational activities of designated community-based long-term support service initiatives. This position is essential in furthering Bay Cove's mission by delivering compassionate and effective services while demonstrating leadership and advocacy.

This role is classified as non-exempt.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Exemplifies and instructs professional and community standards. Supervises staff as designated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adheres strictly to the program framework, including clinical, operational, and quality standards (such as staff meetings, training sessions, data management, community engagement, regulatory compliance, and agency policies as necessary). Provides support and coverage for the Program Director as needed.
  • Utilizes strong clinical judgment in monitoring, supporting, resourcing, and communicating effectively.
  • Demonstrates, instructs, and reinforces daily living skills (including medication management, personal hygiene, cleaning, property management, relationship building, budgeting, and safety practices).
  • Designs and implements program activities aimed at skill reinforcement and development, leveraging teachable moments.
  • Possesses knowledge of, facilitates, models, and instructs all safety protocols related to the program, including crisis assessment, prevention, and intervention strategies.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and follows up on individual medical, dental, and psychiatric appointments or recreational activities, utilizing public transportation or agency vehicles.
  • Maintains comprehensive program documentation.
  • Conducts household and property maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the residence.
  • Provides specialized training and guidance to individuals and colleagues (in roles such as Medication Officer, Human Rights Officer, Van Officer, Safety Officer, or Activities Coordinator) as assigned.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and projects as directed by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a human services environment; GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Certification in medication administration from the Department of Public Health is mandatory. Candidates without this certification must obtain it within 90 days of hire to maintain employment.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Proficient reading, writing, communication, and computer skills necessary for agency operations.
  • Physical ability to perform required lifts or restraints.
  • Access to a personal cell phone and/or vehicle is necessary.
