We are seeking a highly skilled Intake and Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Center for Justice Innovation. As a key member of our Eviction Diversion Initiative, you will play a critical role in identifying participants, monitoring the tenant hotline, completing intake screenings, and making initial housing and legal service referrals.
Responsibilities- Recruit eligible participants through proactive tenant outreach and community events
- Monitor the NCS "tenant hotline" and respond to inquiries
- Conduct intake screenings for program participants in collaboration with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice
- Maintain accurate client records in our electronic case management system
- Provide weekly data audits and summaries to program leadership
- Participate in professional development and training on New Jersey's anti-eviction and homelessness prevention programs
- Identify areas for improvement and work with the team to address data deficiencies
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in criminal justice. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and team player with experience working in a multidisciplinary setting. Familiarity with Essex County and bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
What We OfferThe Center for Justice Innovation offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $34.62 per hour, comprehensive healthcare, and a 403(b) retirement plan with a two-to-one employer contribution up to 5%. We prioritize mental health care for our staff and offer services like Talkspace and Ginger through our healthcare plans.
