We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Investment Banking Executive to join our Equity Capital Markets team at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing equities, equity-linked, and strategic equity transactions on behalf of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Originate and execute equities, equity-linked, and strategic equity transactions on behalf of HSBC's clients
- Work closely with the team to originate and execute transactions covered by the team
- Liaise with Global Markets teams in sales, research, and trading to deliver capital markets advice to our corporate clients
- Manage the day-to-day execution process, liaising with internal teams and external clients and advisors
- Interact with the investment banking team, industry sector banking teams, and other capital markets teams in other regions
- Collaborate with colleagues in the wider ECM, ELCM, and SEF businesses, as well as other stakeholders across Global Banking, Commercial Banking, and Global Markets
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business, or a related field
- At least 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience
- Qualifying experience must include:
- Financial analysis
- Preparing pitch materials and market and economic updates
- Creating and interpreting financial models
- Experience in transaction structuring
- Experience with issuer due diligence on mandated transactions
- Coordinating roadshow meetings with investors
- Investor management during marketing
- Experience with sales, research, and trading to deliver capital markets advice to corporate clients
- Qualifying experience must also include at least 4 years of experience in:
- ECM experience
- Working as part of a multiple deal team for equity capital markets transactions with increasing levels of leadership roles
- Must have or be able to obtain FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses
