Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our OLGMC 9W Medical Telehealth team. As an LPN, you will provide direct care to assigned patients, working within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients, including IV therapy, within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act.
  • Direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties.
  • Interact with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate professional responsibilities and assist other members of the healthcare team in providing personalized patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: IV Therapy Credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment, work with and maintain confidential information, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Delegation skills.
Work Environment

The incumbent works in a patient care area, interacts with patients, and may be exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
