Responsibilities- Evaluate physician orders and assess patient drug therapy to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Prepare, dispense, and verify medications for assigned patients, using sound clinical judgment and cost-effective decision making.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor patient drug therapy, providing education and support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements, ensuring compliance in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computer skills and Windows-style applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The incumbent will be exposed to hazardous medications and waste, and may encounter communicable diseases. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
