We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Ochsner Health. As an LPN on our OLGMC 8W Oncology unit, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify potential health risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in oncology nursing.
- Current LPN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
