Key Responsibilities

  • Act in alignment with the strategic goals set by the leadership team, which includes initiating actions, managing projects, facilitating communication, and resolving issues.
  • Provide information to the public about agency initiatives and serve as a liaison with local media and stakeholders to enhance the organization's visibility.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts and advertising through social media channels and the company website.
  • Manage the donor database and handle correspondence with donors.
  • Engage with a diverse range of individuals and organizations, including executive leadership, board members, funders, stakeholders, community members, and staff.
  • Prepare, review, and edit various forms of correspondence, including emails, letters, meeting minutes, press releases, marketing materials, and newsletters.
  • Maintain organized files and ensure timely responses to all correspondence and administrative documents, including meeting and committee minutes.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with staff, the public, stakeholders, and members.
  • Conduct research and compile reports on various topics, including monthly updates for leadership.
  • Coordinate meeting and travel arrangements.
  • Participate in committees and meetings as needed.
  • Engage in targeted educational and professional development opportunities to enhance professional skills.
  • Assess, recommend, and implement improvements for organizational efficiency and public perception.
  • Consistently represent the agency in a professional manner.
  • Conduct outreach to agencies, organizations, partners, and stakeholders, delivering presentations both in-person and online.
  • Create marketing and messaging materials, including pamphlets, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Collaborate with web developers to update the agency's website.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with two years of experience in community engagement.
  • Associate's degree and three years of experience in community engagement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with four years of experience in community engagement.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, flexibility, and adaptability to various situations and personalities. Discretion and sensitivity to confidential matters are essential. Ability to interact with all levels of management, board members, and external clients is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of and sensitivity to cultural competence principles.
  • Ability to remain composed in crisis situations, work independently and collaboratively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively to individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Uphold professional conduct consistent with ethical practices and agency policies.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and foster positive relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community partners.

Additional Requirements

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Proof of physical examination and annual TB skin test.
  • Fingerprint clearance may be required for roles involving children.
