Recreation Aide

We are seeking a Recreation Aide to join our team at the City and Borough of Juneau Parks and Recreation Department. As a Recreation Aide, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants, and maintaining a clean and organized facility.

• Opening and closing the Mt. Jumbo Gym facility, preparing it for specialty rentals, and assisting renters with equipment needs
• Responding to emergencies and supervising participants to ensure safety
• Providing information to customers and completing light cleaning of equipment and office/gym space
• Explain and enforce facility rules and restrictions of participants

• CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently
• Good customer service skills and flexibility to work varied shifts
• Ability to keep facility clean and safe for all patrons
