Recreation Aide

Job Summary

The City & Borough of Juneau is seeking a Recreation Aide to join our Parks and Recreation Department. As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to the public and supporting the delivery of recreational programs and services.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with the opening and closing of recreation facilities, ensuring they are clean and safe for patrons.
* Provide information to customers and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
* Assist with the preparation of facilities for specialty rentals and events.
* Supervise participants to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the gym and office areas.

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
