Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Experience Manager to join our team at the City of Reno. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing and managing the activities and operations of Reno Direct within the City Manager's Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the work of lower-level staff, including selecting, supervising, training, and evaluating employees.
  • Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, and priorities for each assigned area, including identifying significant policy and operational issues.
  • Participate in the development and administration of program goals, objectives, and procedures, including examining and verifying documents, reports, and transactions.
  • Oversee and coordinate public information activities, including creating and editing website content, organizing and coordinating web development efforts, and maintaining the City's Intranet site.
  • Develop and administer the Reno Direct division budget, including forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, communication, public administration, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Formal training in graphic design is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Six years of increasingly responsible experience in leadership, communications, project management, public relations, website development, and customer service.
  • Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
Working Environment

The work environment is primarily in an office setting with some travel from site to site. The employee will have extensive contact with system users and occasional public contact.

Physical Demands

The primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting, to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, and to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination.
