Job Title: Theatrical Electrician

ASM Global Richmond is seeking a skilled Theatrical Electrician to join our team at the Dominion Energy Center. As a Theatrical Electrician, you will be responsible for providing superior theatrical lighting for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist touring and resident company technical staff
  • Run light board for events
  • Hang, focus, and program lighting equipment as required by the various events
  • Inspect, monitor, and evaluate all lighting equipment to determine effectiveness and safety of usage
  • Advise Management of improvements needed and recommend purchases when necessary
  • Participate in all stage-related duties, including sound setup, stage set-ups, stage changeovers, and all stage-related duties as per the Production Manager
  • Provide additional support as needed for all shows
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of theater lighting practices and principles
  • Programming experience on ETC EOS family of consoles
  • Understanding of ETC Net3
  • Understanding of conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures
  • Lighting design experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and to work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work independently and as a member of the team

The ability to lift up to 75 pounds is required for this position. Ability to work at heights or from a man lift.
